I'm always so inordinately excited when I place or win in competition. It's especially rewarding when it is in the WPJA contests as I feel that the other entrants are the top photographers in wedding documentary photography! I entered the WPJA Artist Guild Contest for the first time this fall and placed TWICE!

  I'm so very pleased that this image won SECOND PLACE in WPJA's international WINTER 2005 competition.

It's a poignant moment that happens in almost every wedding I photograph yet, every time it's different and sweet and makes me want to cry.

I have a little girl and I hope that one day my husband will be looking at her face just like that.
